Essos Terms of Service
Last Updated: April 3, 2025
Welcome to Essos, a U.S.-based digital health and medical travel platform. Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using our platform, as they contain important information about your rights and obligations. By accessing or using Essos, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use Essos.
Platform Role and Medical Disclaimer
Essos is a platform that connects patients with international healthcare providers. Essos is not a healthcare provider, does not practice medicine, and does not provide medical advice or treatment. Any content or information on our site (including articles, provider information, or communications) is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice or consultation.
No Provider-Patient Relationship: Using Essos does not establish a doctor-patient or healthcare provider-patient relationship between you and Essos or any of its personnel. All medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations should come directly from licensed healthcare professionals, not from Essos.
Not for Emergencies: Essos is not intended for use during medical emergencies or urgent situations. If you believe you have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately – do not rely on the platform for emergency assistance.
Consult Your Doctor: Always consult with a qualified healthcare provider for interpretation of any medical information on Essos or to discuss any questions about your health. Any decisions about your medical care should be made between you and your healthcare provider.
Essos’s role is strictly limited to facilitating your interaction with third-party medical providers and providing a marketplace of options for medical services. Essos is not a referral service and does not recommend or endorse any specific healthcare provider, clinic, or treatment. Essos does not offer advice regarding eh quality of suitability of any particular healthcare provider, clinic, or treatment. Any ratings or information on the platform consist of statements of opinion, not statements of fact or recommendation to utilize the services of any particular healthcare provider and are meant to assist you in making your own informed decisions, not as a guarantee of quality or outcome. You assume all responsibility in connection with choosing any healthcare provider, whether or not you obtained information about such healthcare provider through this site or otherwise.
Use of the Platform and Services
Use of the Essos platform grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and view this Site and Site Materials, and to copy, download, store and/or print a copy of any Site Materials, solely for your non-commercial, personal use and not for resale, disclosure or distribution. All rights not expressly granted to you herein are reserved by Essos. There are no implied licenses under this Agreement. The license granted to you in this Terms of Service is expressly conditioned on your continued compliance with this Terms of Service. Please note that Essos, in its sole discretion, may change this Terms of Service from time to time and your continued access, use or browsing of this Site or any Site Materials after any such change takes effect will be deemed to constitute your acceptance of and agreement to the changed Terms of Service.
Essos offers a variety of services through its platform to help you explore and arrange international medical care. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may:
Browse Providers and Information: View information about hospitals, clinics, healthcare providers, and medical procedures available through our international network. We strive to keep this information up-to-date and accurate, but we cannot guarantee it is always complete, accurate, or current. Essos makes no representations as to the accuracy, reliability, completeness, currency, quality, performance, or suitability of information provided by healthcare providers. We assume no responsibility or liability for any information, materials or other content provided by healthcare providers.
Submit Inquiries: Fill out inquiry forms or request more information from selected clinics. You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information when submitting inquiries or forms, so that clinics can adequately respond to your needs. Any private information you deliver to third parties accessed through Essos will be held subject to the privacy policies of that third party.
Communicate with Clinics: Use our messaging or communication tools to ask questions and communicate with third-party healthcare providers. Communications may include sharing medical records, discussing treatment options, and obtaining price quotes. You understand that Essos may monitor or review these communications (e.g., for customer service or compliance) but does not edit or control the medical advice given by providers. Please refer to this Terms of Service and Essos’s Privacy Policy for details about how we collect and use personal information from users of this Site. By agreeing to the terms of this Terms of Service, you are automatically agreeing to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
Book Consultations or Procedures: Schedule telehealth consultations or in-person medical procedures with international clinics through the platform’s booking tools. Essos may assist with scheduling and coordination, but the actual medical consultation or procedure is provided solely by the third-party clinic, not by Essos.
Arrange Travel Logistics: In some cases, Essos might offer referrals or links to third-party travel services (such as airlines, hotels, or transportation) to help you plan your medical trip. These services are also third-party offerings and subject to those providers’ own terms and conditions.
By using the platform, you agree to use Essos only for its intended purposes (seeking medical information, arranging care, and related travel) and in accordance with these Terms, Essos’s Privacy Policy and applicable laws. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Essos, or have a parent/guardian’s consent if you are a minor.
User Account: Some features (such as messaging providers or booking) may require you to create an account. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account. You also agree not to create multiple accounts or an account for someone else without permission. We reserve the right to delete or change any login credentials at any time and for any reason.
Third-Party Medical Providers
All medical care facilitated through Essos is provided by independent third-party healthcare providers (e.g. hospitals, clinics, doctors) that are licensed in their respective countries. Essos does not own, employ, or supervise these providers, and we have no control over the medical services they provide.
When you decide to receive medical treatment from a provider you found on Essos, any contract or agreement for care is solely between you and the healthcare provider. Essos is not a party to any medical agreement, consent, or contract you enter with a clinic or doctor. This means that Essos is not responsible for the care you receive, the outcome of your treatment, or any promises made by the provider.
While Essos attempts to verify the credentials and licensing of the clinics in our network, we cannot guarantee the professional qualifications, licensure, insurance, or appropriateness of any third-party provider. Inclusion of a clinic or provider on the Essos platform does not constitute an endorsement or warranty of their services or quality. You are encouraged to perform your own due diligence on any provider you engage.
Third-Party Terms: Your interactions with external providers are subject to the provider’s own terms of service, policies, and informed consent documents, which may be presented to you by the provider. For example, when you arrive at a clinic for a procedure, you will likely need to sign the clinic’s consent forms and agree to their terms. Those terms are between you and the provider – Essos has no control over them. Likewise, if you use third-party travel services suggested by our platform, any travel arrangements are governed by the terms of the travel provider (airline, hotel, etc.). Essos is not responsible for third-party terms or actions.
Compliance and User Conduct
We expect all users to use Essos in a respectful, lawful, and responsible manner. By using our platform, you agree NOT to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
Unlawful or Prohibited Use: Do not use the platform for any purpose that violates any U.S. or foreign law or regulation is illegal or is prohibited by these Terms. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. You will not seek services that are illegal in either your home country or the country where the procedure would take place.
Misrepresentation: Do not misrepresent your identity or health information. You will not submit information that is false, factually inaccurate, or misleading. You must not impersonate any person or provide false information when using Essos (for example, do not book an appointment using someone else’s name or falsify medical history).
Harassment or Abuse: Do not use the platform to harass, threaten, abuse, or disrespect any other person, including healthcare providers or Essos staff. Any language or content that is hateful, defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory is strictly prohibited.
Interference with Platform: Do not attempt to interfere with the proper working of Essos. This includes prohibitions on hacking, distributing viruses or malware, flooding or spamming the platform, or attempting to circumvent any security or authentication measures.
Unauthorized Access: Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the platform, other user accounts, or any systems or networks connected to Essos by hacking, password mining or any other illegitimate means.
Data Scraping or Exploitation: Do not use any robot, scraper, crawler, or other automated means to access or extract data from Essos without our express permission. Also, you may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of our platform.
Prohibited Content: You must not upload or transmit any content through Essos that is infringing (e.g., violates someone else’s copyright or privacy rights), or that contains personal health information of others without authorization, or any content that violates any law.
Platform Integrity: You agree not to do anything that could damage, disable, or impair the operation or appearance of Essos, including through denial-of-service attacks or other forms of disruption.
If you violate the above rules or any other provision of these Terms, Essos may terminate or suspend your access as described in the Termination section below. We reserve the right (but have no obligation) to remove or edit any content that violates these Terms or that we find objectionable.
Privacy and Data Use (HIPAA Compliance)
Your privacy is extremely important to us. In the course of using Essos, you will be providing personal information, which may include medical history, health records, and other sensitive data. We handle this information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable U.S. privacy laws, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for protected health information.
Collection of Data: We collect personal information that you provide (such as your name, contact details, medical history, and insurance information) as well as data generated through your use of the platform (such as messages with providers or appointment details). This data is collected for the purpose of delivering the Essos services to you – for example, to connect you with suitable clinics, facilitate consultations, and help arrange your medical travel.
Use of Data: We use your information to facilitate and improve our services. This includes sharing relevant details with the healthcare providers you choose in order to help them evaluate your inquiry and provide care. For instance, if you request a quote for a procedure, we will forward the necessary information to the clinic so they can respond appropriately. We may also use data internally to enhance our platform’s functionality, user experience, and to offer customer support.
Disclosure and Sharing: We will not disclose your personal medical information to third parties without your consent, except as necessary to provide our services or as required by law. This means we share your data with the clinics or providers you select, and with other service partners (such as travel coordinators or payment processors) only to the extent needed to arrange your care and travel. All such parties are contractually required to protect your information. Essos may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is required to comply with legal obligations (for example, a court order) or to protect our rights or the safety of our users.
HIPAA Compliance: To the extent that Essos may be considered a "Business Associate" of a healthcare provider under HIPAA, we adhere to HIPAA regulations and implement all required safeguards to protect your Protected Health Information (PHI). We employ industry-standard security measures, including encryption and access controls, to protect your data both in transit and at rest. Our staff are trained in privacy practices, and we have procedures in place to address any potential privacy or security incident.
User Consent: By using Essos, you acknowledge and consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your information as described here and in our Privacy Policy. You also agree that we may contact you via email, phone, or via the platform (including messaging) regarding your inquiries, appointments, and feedback.
External Providers and International Data: If you use Essos to engage a healthcare provider outside the United States, understand that your data will be transferred to and used by that provider in their country. Those providers are obligated to maintain your privacy under their own professional and legal standards, but they may not be subject to U.S. laws like HIPAA. We will obtain your consent for such international transfer of your health information when required. Once your information is in the hands of a third-party provider, it will be managed according to that provider’s privacy practices. However, Essos will continue to protect any copies of your information that we retain under our own privacy and security policies.
Additional Privacy Rights: Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information (for example, rights to access or delete personal data under state laws). Our Privacy Policy provides more detail on how you can exercise those rights and how we honor them.
For full details on our privacy practices, please review our Privacy Policy (incorporated herein by reference). If you have any questions about how Essos handles your data, you can contact us at the information provided at the end of these Terms.
Limitation of Liability and Risk Acknowledgment
Essos will not be liable for any damages resulting from your use of, or reliance upon, this Site, any Site Materials, or any products or services obtained through the Site. Using Essos and traveling abroad for medical care entails certain risks, and you agree to assume all responsibility for those risks. This includes, without limitation, the inherent risks of medical procedures (such as potential complications, side effects, unsuccessful outcomes, or even injury or death) and the risks associated with international travel (such as travel delays, accidents, or geopolitical events). Essos is not responsible for any personal injury, death, complication, infection, or other outcome you may experience before, during, or after any medical treatment or travel obtained through our platform.
No Warranties: Essos provides the platform and all content and services “as is” and “as available,” without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We specifically disclaim any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Essos does not guarantee that the information on the platform is error-free or that access to the platform will be continuous or secure. We do not guarantee any specific results or outcomes from using our service or from any treatment you obtain via Essos.
Any advice or information (oral or written) you obtain from Essos is for support purposes only and does not create any warranty. Essos makes no representations or warranties of any kind, express or imlied, that the Site or any Site Materials will assist you in identifying a suitable healthcare provider. Essos expressly disclaims any and all responsibility and liability with respect to separate agreements you may make with healthcare providers, travel services providers, and/or any other third parties who offer products or services on or through this Site. You expressly agree that you will look solely to such healthcare providers or third parties with respect to any and all claims arising out of such agreements and/or products or services.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Essos and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
your use of or inability to use the Essos platform;
any conduct or content of any third party on the platform (including wrongful or negligent actions of a healthcare provider);
any communication or relationship with any provider or third-party service obtained through Essos;
any medical advice, care, treatment, surgery, or other services you receive from healthcare providers contacted through Essos;
any travel or travel arrangements or services provided by a third-party communicated through or obtained through Essos;
or unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or data on the platform.
In no event shall Essos’s total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to your use of the platform or the services exceed the amount (if any) that you paid to Essos for its services in the past 12 months, or $100 USD, whichever is greater. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limitations, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you to the extent disallowed by law. However, in such cases, Essos’s liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Risk Acknowledgment: You acknowledge that any medical procedure carries risks and that outcomes are not guaranteed. You also acknowledge that traveling to another country for medical care has additional risks that may be beyond anyone’s control. You agree that you understand these risks and that you will not hold Essos responsible for any consequences arising from your decisions. We strongly encourage you to consult with your home-country doctors before and after any procedure, and to consider obtaining appropriate travel and health insurance coverage for your trip.
Indemnification: You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Essos and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Essos platform or services, (b) any breach of these Terms by you, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. This includes, for example, any claim by a healthcare provider or other third party that is based on your conduct, or any claim that you failed to fulfill your obligations or obtain necessary consents. You agree to cooperate with us in the defense of any such claim. This indemnity obligation will survive the termination of your relationship with Essos.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to your use of Essos are governed by the laws of the United States and the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. By using the Essos platform, you agree that any disputes or claims shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, New York, and you hereby consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. You waive any objections to such jurisdiction or venue, including any defense claiming forum non conveniens.
We make no representation that the content or services of Essos are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United States. If you choose to access or use Essos from outside the U.S., you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
(If you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction with laws that give you the right to bring disputes in your local courts or that mandates a particular governing law, those laws may apply regardless of the above; nothing in these Terms is meant to limit any rights you have under law.)
Arbitration Clause (Binding Individual Arbitration)
Essos requires that most disputes be resolved through binding individual arbitration rather than in court. By agreeing to the Terms of Service, you waive your right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, except as provided below. Key terms of this arbitration provision include:
Mandatory Binding Arbitration (FAA Governs): You and Essos agree to resolve all disputes or claims relating to the services exclusively by final and binding arbitration, not in court. This arbitration requirement is made pursuant to and governed by the Federal Arbitration Act (9 U.S.C. §§ 1–16), ensuring that the agreement to arbitrate is enforceable under federal law. An arbitrator (instead of a judge or jury) will decide the dispute, and the arbitrator’s decision will be final and binding on both parties.
Individual Disputes Only – No Class Actions or Consolidation: All arbitrations shall be conducted on an individual basis only. You may only bring claims on your own behalf, and may not pursue any class action or collective proceeding against Essos. Similarly, the arbitrator cannot consolidate the claims of others or award relief for anyone who is not directly involved in the individual arbitration. This means no class actions, class arbitrations, or representative claims are permitted. (If a court finds this class-action waiver invalid or unenforceable, then this entire arbitration clause will be null and void, and disputes will instead be resolved in court).
Neutral Arbitration Forum & Rules: The arbitration will be administered by a neutral arbitration provider, such as the American Arbitration Association (AAA) (or JAMS) under its applicable rules for consumer disputes. The AAA’s Consumer Arbitration Rules (or similar neutral rules) will govern procedures, and both parties will have an equal voice in selecting a neutral, qualified arbitrator. For example, you can request that the arbitration be handled by AAA; if AAA is unavailable, Essos will work with you to select a comparable arbitration organization that can ensure a fair proceeding. The arbitration shall take place at a location that is reasonably convenient for you (or conducted by telephone/videoconference or based on written submissions, if appropriate), and confidentiality will be maintained to the extent permitted by law.
Opt-Out Right: You have the right to opt out of this arbitration agreement if you do not wish to be bound by it. To opt out, you must send written notice to Essos within 30 days of accepting the Terms of Service. Your opt-out notice must include your name, account information, and a clear statement that you wish to opt out of the arbitration agreement. This notice can be sent by email or regular mail to the address provided by Essos. If you opt out in time, you retain your right to resolve disputes in court; if you do not opt out, you will be bound by this arbitration clause. (Opting out of arbitration will not affect the rest of the Terms of Service or your ability to use the Essos platform.)
Arbitration Costs and Fees: Essos will reduce financial barriers to arbitration for patients. You will not be required to pay excessive arbitration fees. In most cases, you will only need to pay an arbitration filing fee comparable to a court filing fee, if anything. Essos will pay the remaining arbitration costs, including the arbitrator’s fees and administrative fees, to ensure the process is affordable for you. In fact, if the amount of your claim is relatively low (for example, $75,000 or less), Essos will pay all arbitration fees beyond a small initial filing fee at your request. For larger claims, if you can demonstrate that arbitration costs would be prohibitive or you cannot afford your share, Essos will cover your portion of the fees as necessary so that the arbitration is not cost-prohibitive. Each side will otherwise bear its own attorneys’ fees and costs, unless the arbitrator awards fees under applicable law. This cost-splitting provision is intended to ensure that arbitration is accessible and fair to our patients, not a deterrent to pursuing a valid claim.
Enforceability of Arbitration Clause: This arbitration agreement survives any termination of your relationship with Essos and remains in effect even after you stop using the platform. If any part of this arbitration clause is found to be invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed, and the remainder of the clause shall remain in full force, except that if the prohibition on class actions above is deemed invalid, then this entire arbitration section will be null and void (in which case disputes would revert to court litigation). FAA governs this clause’s enforceability, meaning that a court will enforce the parties’ agreement to arbitrate as written, consistent with federal law. By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that you are giving up the right to a trial in court and to appeal the decision, and that you accept the use of arbitration as the exclusive forum for resolving disputes with Essos. (This clause does not prevent you from bringing issues to the attention of certain federal or state agencies, which may, if the law allows, seek relief on your behalf.)
Force Majeure Clause (Events Beyond Our Control)
Essos is not liable for service disruptions or delays caused by events outside of Essos’ control. In the event of certain unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances (“Force Majeure” events), Essos’ obligations under the Terms of Service will be adjusted as described below. This clause ensures that Essos is protected when extraordinary events occur, while also informing users of what to expect in such situations:
Definition of Force Majeure – Events Beyond Essos’ Control: Force Majeure events refer to extraordinary circumstances beyond Essos’ reasonable control that prevent or delay us from providing our services. These events include, but are not limited to: natural disasters and “acts of God” such as fires, floods, earthquakes, or hurricanes; epidemics or pandemics (including public health emergencies); war, invasion, or acts of terrorism; riots, civil unrest, or other widespread civil disturbances; strikes, labor disputes, or other industrial action; government orders or regulations (for example, government-imposed travel bans, quarantines, or other restrictions); embargoes or blockades; power outages, interruptions of utilities, or internet/telecommunication failures; and any other event that is beyond Essos’s control (for example, a national emergency or widespread network infrastructure failure). If such an unpredictable event occurs that impacts Essos, it will be considered a Force Majeure event under these Terms.
No Liability for Service Disruptions During Force Majeure: If a Force Majeure event occurs, Essos shall not be liable for any claim of harm failure or delay in performing its obligations due to that event. This means that Essos is not responsible for any interruption in the platform’s availability, delays in arranging or coordinating medical travel or treatment, or any other failure to fulfill our services that is directly caused by a Force Majeure event. For example, if a hurricane or government shutdown temporarily prevents us from coordinating your treatment or if an internet outage beyond our control brings down the platform, Essos will not be considered in breach of our agreementthese Terms of Service for those delays or failures. You assume the risk that such rare events could impact service, and Essos is excused from liability for the duration of the Force Majeure event. Importantly, Essos will make reasonable efforts to inform users through the platform, email, or other communication if a Force Majeure event is significantly affecting service, but the absence of such notice does not negate this clause.
Suspension of Obligations and Performance: During a Force Majeure event, Essos’ obligations under the Terms of Service will be temporarily suspended to the extent impacted by the event. Essos will have additional time to perform or will resume performance after the Force Majeure condition ends. Any deadlines or time commitments for Essos’ performance (such as scheduling a procedure or providing travel support) will be extended by at least the duration of the Force Majeure delay. Once the extraordinary event passes or is resolved, Essos will resume its services and obligations as soon as reasonably possible. Both you and Essos agree to resume fulfillment of the Terms in good faith after the Force Majeure event without any penalty or default having occurred. For clarity, a Force Majeure event only extends or excuses Essos’s duties for the time the event continues – once conditions normalize, all obligations will recommence and be carried out as agreed.
Notice and Mitigation (Best Efforts): In accordance with standard practice, if a Force Majeure event occurs, Essos will, when feasible, provide notice to users about the nature of the event and its impact on service. Essos will also make commercially reasonable efforts to mitigate the effects of the event on its operations. However, this clause recognizes that in some scenarios mitigation may be impossible (for example, in a regional power blackout or natural disaster). Essos’s duties are excused only for the duration of the Force Majeure event and only to the extent that performance is actually prevented or impracticable – we will not use Force Majeure as a blanket excuse. If a portion of our services can still be provided during the event, we will strive to provide it. Similarly, if alternative methods or workarounds can help us deliver critical services, we will pursue those to assist our patients, consistent with digital health best practices. This commitment to effort is in place to balance legal protection with our focus on patient care and access. (Note: Certain obligations, such as confidentiality of your data or payment of any amounts already due, might not be excused by Force Majeure. Only duties affected by the unforeseen event are suspended.)
Consequences of Extended Force Majeure: If a Force Majeure event continues for an extended period, Essos will assess the situation and may make reasonable modifications to the services as necessary. In extreme cases, Essos reserves the right to terminate any affected services or bookings without liability if the Force Majeure event makes it impossible to continue with the engagement (for example, if a destination country is indefinitely closed to travel). However, such termination would be a last resort. Generally, the occurrence of a Force Majeure event will not permanently terminate your relationship with Essos or your rights under the Terms – instead, the contract is essentially “on hold” during the event and will resume normal operation afterward. All terms of the agreement not affected by the Force Majeure remain in effect. Essos’s failure to perform due to Force Majeure will not be deemed a breach of the Terms of Service, and Essos will not be liable for any damages or losses resulting from the delay or failure to perform caused by the Force Majeure event.
These clauses are intended to be clear and enforceable, using straightforward language to explain your rights and Essos’s rights. By structuring the Terms of Service in this way, Essos balances the need for legal protection (through arbitration and force majeure provisions) with patient-friendly clarity, so you understand how disputes will be handled and what happens if extraordinary events disrupt our services. All users are encouraged to read these clauses carefully and reach out with any questions. Essos is committed to transparency and fairness in its Terms, ensuring that users know about these important terms upfront.
Modifications to Terms
Essos reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify users by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page, and in some cases we may provide additional notice (such as by email or a notification on our website). It is your responsibility to periodically review these Terms for any changes. Continued use of the platform after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to any updated Terms, you should stop using Essos.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account or access to Essos at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, including if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we believe is harmful to our interests or other users. Upon termination, your right to use the platform will immediately cease.
You may also discontinue use of Essos at any time and, if you have an account, you can request that we deactivate it. Termination of access or account deactivation will not waive or affect any rights or obligations which arose prior to the termination, and sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (such as Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, etc.) will continue to apply.
We also reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or remove or edit content in our sole discretion if we determine a user is violating laws or these Terms, or for any other operational reason.
